How to stop overeating

There are a number of people who feel defeated in their diet and feel that they have absolutely no control over food.

  1. ๐——๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ธ ๐˜„๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—™๐—œ๐—ฅ๐—ฆ๐—ง ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐—ณ๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด. Your body reads hunger and thirst the same, therefore if you are not drinking enough water daily you may actually be thirsty. If you continue to eat without rehydrating with water, you actually may be eating more than you need because you are misreading thirst for hunger.

  2. ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐˜‚๐—ป๐˜๐—ถ๐—น ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐Ÿด๐Ÿฌ% ๐—ณ๐˜‚๐—น๐—น.This puts you in control of food. Instead of allowing food to control you, you now have a stopping point where you know youโ€™ve had enough.

  3. ๐—ฃ๐—ฎ๐˜‚๐˜€๐—ฒ ๐—ฏ๐—ฒ๐˜๐˜„๐—ฒ๐—ฒ๐—ป ๐—ฏ๐—ถ๐˜๐—ฒ๐˜€. Pausing between bites will help you digest your food and gauge your level of comfort, which will help you determine if youโ€™re truly eating because youโ€™re hungry or because it taste so darn good. If itโ€™s the latter then, slow down sisโ€ฆ

  4. ๐—˜๐—ฎ๐˜ ๐—ผ๐—ป ๐—ฎ ๐˜€๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—น๐—น๐—ฒ๐—ฟ ๐—ฝ๐—น๐—ฎ๐˜๐—ฒ. Putting smaller portions on a regular size plate will help you psychologically feel like you havenโ€™t eaten enough, although the portion sizes are enough. Therefore filling up a smaller plate with the correct portion sizes helps you feel comfortable with your portion and will prevent adding extra food to your plate.
